Auditions - Catch Me If You Can


Hello CAST-mates!  Thank you for stopping by Cast Theatrical Co.'s new blog!  Don't worry - you can still find CAST on FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE, and on the official WEBSITE.  However, with this blog, Cast Theatrical Co. will be able to provide you with more frequent, in-depth information, photos, interviews, and maybe even a fun contest or two.  You can make sure you stay up-to-date by following us and/or by signing up to get email notifications when we post a new blog entry (check out the links on the right).

And speaking of up-to-date information, CAST is getting ready to hold auditions for the very last show of the season, and it is a fantastic end to what has been a stellar line-up.  Are you ready?  Auditions are being held for....wait for it...wait for it...



Are you totally confused now?  Wondering if you suddenly stumbled onto a different blog?  Nope, you're in the right place!  CAST will be holding auditions for "Catch Me If You Can" on TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND AND 3RD, BEGINNING AT 7:00 P.M.  This play will be directed by David Hymel, who has directed other excellent productions at CAST, including "Leading Ladies" and "Dark at the Top of the Stairs."

"Catch Me If You Can" is by Robert Thomas and is adapted from the French version by Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert.  

Audition Information is:
4 or 5 men/2 or 3 women needed
September 2 and 3, 2014 @ 7:00 p.m.
Cast Theatre, 1909 Ave. G, Rosenberg, Texas 77471

Characters:
Daniel Corban - male, age range 35 - 50
Inspector Levine - male, age range 40 - 55
Father Kelleher - male, age range 30 - 59
Elizabeth Corban - female, age range 30 - 50
Sidney - male or female, any age
Mrs. Parker - female, age range 20 - 30
Everett Parker - male, age range 40 - 59

Synopsis: Daniel Corban is on his honeymoon in the Catskill Mountains of New York when his wife suddenly disappears.  Frantic to locate her, he contacts Inspector Levine.  While the two are discussing Elizabeth Corban's disappearance, in comes Father Kelleher who magically produces Elizabeth. Daniel denies this woman is his wife, even though she can answer the Inspector's questions about her husband down to the last detail.  Has Daniel gone mad?  Is the Priest involved in a scheme with Elizabeth?  Is Daniel's boss and his wife part of this as well?
